In conjunction with underwriting agency Mercurien, Ride Protect has launched a new and innovative rideshare insurance offering, using a range of technologies to bring it all together.

“You no longer need two separate policy types for your vehicle insurance. Our one comprehensive policy covers rideshare, food delivery and private use. The policy also gives you access to cutting-edge technology that helps make your rideshare business safer and more profitable,”

Jeremy Bennett, CEO of Ride Protect, said.

The application process uses technology from uBind, which includes a seamless digital experience for rideshare drivers to apply online, enter their registration number, get a quote and bind within 2 minutes.

The uBind platform also provides a customer portal for rideshare and delivery drivers to log in and manage their policy, renew online, make adjustments to add other drivers, and access their documents.

“Jeremy has identified a gap in the market and brought together a great insurance product backed by great technology to make it work exceptionally well,”

uBind CEO John Gamble said.

Rideshare and delivery drivers can apply online through the Ride Protect website.

The offering is fully integrated with 365 Roadside Assist, and Mercurien’s driver feedback app, which encourages safer driving behaviour. This reduces accidents, which keeps drivers safe and reduces claims.

Mercurien is an underwriting agency backed by HDI Global, and offers market leading commercial motor products for anything from a single vehicle to fleets of 3000+ vehicles.

“We worked closely with Jeremy to provide the best mix of technology from our partners uBind and 365 Roadside Assist, creating an integrated solution that fully realises Jeremy’s vision. We’ve always embraced technology, and it’s paid off for us.”

Daniel Johnson, Mercurien.

Mercurien encourages brokers to get in touch to find out more about their commercial motor products.

“We’ve identified the gap in the market for group business that can’t be processed in bulk. So if you need a commercial motor solution that facilitates easy distribution and processing for a group, association or scheme business that still maintains your brand, then call us,”

says Daniel Johnson.

They have a range of portals and digital distribution tools for brokers and affiliates to use, powered by the uBind platform.
